First Floor Plan The elliptical core of the home allows for line of sight between all living areas including the Kitchen, Great Room, Dining Room, Living Room, and Bar, creating the ideal social and entertaining environment while keeping the Office, Guest Room, and Theater in a private and secluded setting.

A unique feature. A custom built flat screen slider that can slide between the exterior patio and great room, or be hidden from view behind hidden doors.

Design/Build New Home
La Canada
The elliptical core of this home is instrumental to achieving the design criteria of an entertainment friendly home where there would be line of sight to all living areas including the kitchen, yet provide a feeling of privacy and seclusion for the office, guest bedroom and theater.
The second floor provides a master suite that is secluded over the quietest portion of the first floor and separated from the other 4 bedrooms by a catwalk balcony that overlooks the great room ellipse and window array view to the rear yard landscaping and swimming pool.
This home also included construction of a swimming pool/spa and exterior hardscape.

Front elevation remodel required creating a screening configuration for the front door and living room picture windows. The offset stone columns obscure an otherwise very exposed entry to the street.

Arcadia
Expanding the master suite towards the front with an obtuse angle mitered glass picture window to view the expansive city lights to the rear, and creating a full mitered glass bay window extension in the kitchen achieved the design criteria of maximizing the amazing view while staying functional and keeping with the contemporary design of the original home.
Clean lines, smooth walls, the absence of wood millwork, casing, and baseboards streamlines the clean contemporary look that was desired.
This addition/remodel also included remodel of the front elevation, swimming pool, adding a spa, firepit, fountain, and pool decking.

Another unique feature to this remodel is the copper fascia on the turret and real slate roof.

Design/Build Remodel and addition
Villa Park
Expanding the master suite and adding a new bath, entry foyer, and turret, as well as a complete front elevation re-design was the design criteria for this project.
Extensive use of travertine stone veneer, copper vents and fascia, as well as real slate roofing resulted in a completed project that appeared as an entirely new home.
Interior additions such as a ridgeline skylight in the family room and heavy timber trusswork in the livingroom created a completely new ambiance.
This project was built under an Owner/Builder program (see services page).
